About Us
Established in 1957, our skilled and committed workforce have amassed vast experience in producing stampings and assemblies in over 60 years of trading. We have the expertise to press steel and aluminium and have the capability to produce simple stampings as well as more complex assemblies.
We have continued to invest in keeping at the forefront of technology and use UK-based sub-suppliers to enable us to offer reactive and flexible solutions to component development, manufacture, assembly and worldwide delivery.
Company History


The beginning
Bolyer Engineering Company was established by John Bolstridge and Reg Goodyer, the business started in a former farm building in Bedworth; its first customer was Clear Hooters Ltd who made car horns.

1957

On the move
Bolyer Engineering moved to its current main site in Bayton Road, Exhall.

1962

Extending
Between 1968 and 1997 three building extensions were carried out on the current factory to increase the office and press shop areas. The extensions allowed for larger presses and greater tonnage capacity.

1968

More improvements
A new despatch facility was created in a building at the back of the main factory.

1998

Eight new presses
A new press shop was opened in a building adjacent to the main press shop, accommodating eight new presses.

2001

Protecting the environment
Bolyer gained ISO 14001 certification for Environmental Management Systems.

2002

Quality recognised
Bolyer achieved ISO/TS 16949 certification; a worldwide recognised standard of automotive quality management systems.

2006

Bigger and better
Bolyer acquired a 200T coil feed line, enabling us to produce higher volumes of components at more competitive prices.

2016

Landmark award
Bolyer received the JLRQ Award; recognising Bolyer as meeting JLR supplier performance management system requirements.

Still expanding...
A 10,000 square foot unit was secured to accommodate coil fed lines with a capacity of 80-400T. Despatch was also relocated to the new unit, providing more space and easier access for vehicles.
